about 4m west of south-west corner
of nave, Church of St. Mary

GV II

Pedestal tomb; early C19; stone; low pyramid top, step to lid
with moulded edge; fluted frieze, fluting stopped by corner
cubes with paterae in different stone. Corner pieces with large,
fluted chamfer swept out top and bottom to square: panels to sides
framed wide, sunk line. Chamfered top to plinth, square base, set
up above path on further stone facing. Some italic script.
Commemorates Thomas Warne, died 1836 and Elizabeth Tomkins, died
182-.
