GV II

Garden wall to road and churchyard, with gate between high piers
in front of house. C17 red brick high wall with plinth and
saddle back coping of flat bricks supported on a toothed corbel
course. Section in front of house lowered with brick-on-edge
coping and tall square brick piers with stone coping and carved
foliate balls. C18 ornamental wrought-iron gate with overthrow
decorated by repousee ironwork and central heraldic shield (RCHM
(1911) 212). The arms are of Lake, augmented, with motto 'Un
Dieu un Roy un coeur' (VCH (1912) 474).
