Rambling house of 3 main periods; largely late C19 in appearance. C16 rear
wing, late C19 front block with alterations and additions of 1930-40. Brick, part
tile-hung with half-timbering, tile roofs. Two storeys. The C17 staircase
is stated in RCHM to have come from Nelmes in the early C20. Three flights
with turned balusters. Rear wing C16, originally a stable block. Red brick
much repaired. Old tile roof. All the openings are modern except a 2-light
attic window with moulded frame, in the east gable. Two storeys, beams exposed
on the upper floor.
