Terrace of houses, probably all of late C17 origin, although only No 20
retains any original features.
No 17: 3 storeys, 3 windows. Rounded mansard roof now slated. Stuccoed mid
C19 front has rusticated quoins, heavy entablature and high parapet. Moulded
window architraves, those on 1st floor with cornices. Pediment to centre
window. Modern bank front on ground floor. Nos 18 and 19: 4 storeys, 4 windows
in all. Stucco front with parapet. Plain reveals to late C19 sash windows of
No 18. Moulded architraves to windows of No 19, with cornices on 1st floor.
Modern shop front on ground floor.
No 20: 3 storeys, 2 windows. Stuccoed front with modified entablature.
Moulded window architraves. Stone eagle on parapet. Modern ground floor
shop front. Inside 2 flights of late C17 staircase with solid string, turned
balusters and square handrail. 1 pendant. In 1st floor front room a round-
headed cupboard with fielded panelled doors.
No 21: 3 storeys, 1 window, stuccoed parapet front. Moulded architraves to
modern casements. Modern shop front on ground floor.
