Early-mid C19 pair, each 3 storeys and basement, 2 windows. Stucco with cornice
and blocking course, and first floor band. No 38 has incised lines. Recessed
sash windows with glazing bars on second floor. First floor long casements,
with margin lights, to cast iron palmette-patterned balconies. Similar balcony
to ground floor sash windows of No 36 which also has 6-panel door in moulded
architrave and cornice consoles. No 38 has small modern left entrance extension
and 2 renewed ground floor sash windows.
