Early-mid C19 pair, each 3 storeys and basement, 2 windows, the outer in narrow,
slightly set back entrance bay. Stock brick with recess on axis. Stucco frieze,
cornice and blocking course, first floor cill band and impost string to arcaded
ground floor resting on band. Sash windows, some with bars in stucco-lined
reveals under gauged brick arches, round on ground floor. Six steps to 4-panel
doors with mutuled cornice head and plain fanlight. Cast iron handrail to No
222.
