Substantial house. 1905-7, Halsey Ricardo. Brick, glazed brick, of green and
turquoise, and white faience. Green glazed pantile roof. Three storeys, and basement,
5 bays wide. Three central bays with giant order arcades and pilaters of faience,
supporting rich cornice. To left 2-storey bay window. Pilastered attic and eaves
cornice. Sash windows to ground floor. Serlian windows to central bays of first
floor. Entrance to left hand return, reached by covered way with rich tilework.
Important interiors with mosaic and tile decoration. Adjoining garden house with tiles
by William de Morgan.
