House. C17, remodelled mid-C19. Brick, part rendered to south end and rear,
plain tiled roof. L-plan; main part a three-bay range aligned north/south
with large chimney in northernmost bay with diagonal brick ridge stack and
forming a probable lobby-entry plan; rear wing of one bay to north-west.
Single storey, attic with dormers and cellar; two-course band at first
floor level. West front elevation: two ground floor 3-light casements
with gauged flat heads; central gabled dormer also with 3-light casement;
entrance at north end has lean-to porch on brackets and C20 door. Attic
lights in gable ends; single-course band stepped to form hood above attic
lights. Two square cellar windows at south gable end. Interior not inspected
but said to retain some framing. One of a group of buildings surrounding
The Square.
