Cottage. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame partly rendered,
thatched roof and two sandstone rubble stacks with brick shafts. Three bays
aligned north/south. One storey and attic. East elevation has three gabled
dormers in eyebrows each with late C18 to early C19 wrought iron casements.
Ground floor has mid-C20 thatched canopy and porch with segmental headed
doorway and C20 studded door. To right-hand return of porch is a cast iron
mid-C19 window with lozenge-shaped lights. North and south gables have
scissor struts. Frame exposed to all sides except east, has three square
panels between cill and wall-plate. Interior not inspected. (RCHM, Vol III,
p 108).
