3/136 Cowhouse about 16 yards
north-east of Abingdon's


Cowhouse. Probably mid-C17. Timber-framed with painted brick infill; tiled
roof; 2 framed bays. Framing: square panels, 3 from sill to wall-plate,
long, straight braces in lower corners, queen strut trusses in gable ends.
Opposing doorway in centre of both main elevations. Interior Roof has
intermediate queen strut truss and single, trenched purlins. Floored
throughout with partitions each side of central passageway.
