family about 3 metres
- south west of porch of
Church of St Kenelm

GV II

Chest tomb. James Strikland died 1819. Signed by W Milton. Ashlar with
hipped ridge top. Bold corner balusters with paterae above at corners of
fluted frieze, and fluted quadrants to corners of side panelling and
inscription panels. Inscribed on south face: "Sacred/ to the memory of/
Mr James Strickland/ he departed this life 19th Feby 1819/ in the 72nd year
of his age", on an oval tablet. Also inscriptions on other 3 faces.
