Marlowe was born in Canterbury in 1564. This late Victorian memorial consists
of a bronze figure on a stone plinth with a figure of a small lute player.
The plinth has 4 recessed with statuettes of Sir Henry lying as Tamburlaine,
Edward Alleyn as Barabbas in "The Jew of Malta", James Hackett as Edward
II and Sir Johnston Forbes Robertson as Dr Faustus,
