War memorial to the fallen of the first and second world wars.
Erected 1920. (M. Bourner, F. Hull, R. Tate and others, A History
of Bearsted and Thurnham, no date, late C20.) Stone. Decorative
cross on octagonal shaft with carved capital, and broach stops
at the bottom, standing on a square block with chamfered corners
and large ornamental broach stops. Dedications inscribed on the
south and west faces of the block. 3 octagonal steps beneath
with names inscribed on the risers. Deeply coved octagonal
base.
