Description


ROCHESTER BOLEY HILL TQ 7468 NW 7/10 Longley House 24.10.50 GV II House. Early C19. Painted brick; roof not visible. The SE angle abuts the front of Satis House (qv Refs 7/9) 2-storeys on high basement. Asymmetrical 3-window range, with a one window range to right, the 1st floor of which is set back. Parapet; 12- pane hornless sash windows in reveals and under depressed brick arches to 1st floor; left-handed doorcase (approached by steps with plan railings) has wide entablature on 3 Ruscan pilasters, containing double door and sash window. Tripartite 4:12:4 hornless sash window to right, with another (2:4:2) to basement. 4-pane sahses to single window range to right. Large brick ridge stack. Blocked windows to right return. rear: canted bay with parapet and sash windows; large veranda to left. Interior not inspected.
