Large C18 house at corner of Scotch Street. Gable end to Roper Street has
elaborate doorway with fluted Ionic 3/4 columns on pedestals, bulbous
reverse architraves to door opening, raised panels to reveals, broken
ogee pediment with acorn on acanthus leaf motif. Segmental arched
carriage entrance to left. Scotch Street facade has 4 windows on each
of 3 storeys, all with similar architraves to doorway (ie bulbous
reverse mouldings). Quoins.
Nos 23 to 30 (consec) and Nos 1 to 10 (consec) Scotch Street form a group.
