A6 (West side),
Burton House and attached barn and outbuilding

House with outbuilding and barn. Probably C17. Stone rubble with slate roof.
East elevation of 2 storeys and 2 bays, with gable end of barn to south and
single-bay outbuilding to north. Dripcourse over ground floor. Windows have
casements. Central entrance has gabled porch with rounded angles. 2 squat
cross-axial stacks. Outbuilding has entrance and window, with loading door
over. South elevation has ramp up to barn entrance with pentice, with gabled
wing to west and lower lean-to outshut to east. Interior not inspected but said
to have an original panelled partition.
