Outbuilding to west
of Riverside House

Stable block and outbuilding. Early C19 with later alterations
and additions. Red brick with moulded brick dressings and a
sawtooth first floor band. Asbestos sheet roof, hipped to
southern range and with external brick stack to south. Single
storey two bay part to south with three bay two storey range to
north. Northern part has a central moulded, painted staircase
with returned hoodmould and plank door. To either side there
are small pointed, moulded windows, also with returned hoods.
Above two similar openings and a central circular moulded
opening with raised brick surround. Above again in the top of
the gable is a similar smaller opening. Attached to south, the
single storey part has a blind four-centred moulded archway with
returned hoodmould over and a moulded pointed doorcase to
centre. To south side is a small pointed window, similar to the
others, with gothick traceried iron window. Similar window to
south elevation. Included for group value only.
