Nelson Monument
II
Monument in the form of a tapering obelisk-like shaft of
gritstone. 1805. Square shaft with pitted finish, about ten
feet tall, the top more steeply tapering. Inscribed OCT 21/
1805. Erected by three residents of Baslow in memory of Lord
Nelson and in commemoration of the Battle of Trafalgar.
