Formerly house attached to row, now two houses. Early-mid C17;
C20 alterations and extension. Random rubble limestone; ashlar
chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic. C20
addition to east end is not of special interest. South front:
Spinners to left has full gable with single window casement
fenestration below; C20 restored 3-light to ground floor, 3-light
recessed cavetto moulded above and 2-light to attic, all with
hoodmoulds. C20 gabled porch to left with 2-light recessed
chamfered mullioned casement above having flat hoodmould. Through
passage giving access to north side of building to left, much
restored with C20 concrete lintels; gabled attic roof dormer
above. Two ridge-mounted chimneys with moulded caps. C20
artificial stone mullioned casements to Lilac Cottage to right.
Rear: scattered fenestration, timber casements, some with leading,
to Lilac Cottage to left. C20 restored mullioned casements to
Spinners. Interior not inspected. Although extensively restored
in mid-late C20, this building forms part of a picturesque group
with The Ponderosa, Court Cottage and Weaver's Cottage (q.v.),
adjoining at west end.
