Dwelling and stationery shop. Part late C19, part C18 but early interior and
framing. Left half painted brick and concrete tile, right half smooth rendering on
timber frame, clay double roman tile. Presents two part elevation, including gable
with half hip to Long Street, and long return facade to Market Street.
Left half two storeys, two windowed, sashes with glazing bars in broad surrounds;
right half three storeys, one windowed, in gable shallow multi-paned wide unit, first
floor broad sash, with glazing bars and broad surround; C19 shop front including
diagonal corner entry and long seven-bay return, with pilasters. One basement
opening, left. Return includes also two storeyed two windowed dwelling unit
incorporating through-way to back of premises. Important interior framing including
some wind bracing to roof, and evidence for former jetty to Long Street.
