Large town house. Early/mid C18. Rendered on stone plinth,
concrete tile roof with small hip to right and large ashlar end
stack to right. Moulded stone cornice and blocking course and wide
vertical bands, with stone string courses at 1st and 2nd floor
levels. 3 storeys. 5 windows, 12-pane sashes in plain reveals.
Ground floor has 2 similar (renewed) to right, central stone
doorcase with attached Doric columns on bases, frieze, cornice and
pediment. Up 3 stone steps to large door with 8 flush panels. To
left, C20 shop front.
Interior said locally to have very fine stick baluster stair
similar to No. 33 Long Street (q.v.), but not accessible at time of
survey.
