Corner house in row with ground floor shop and frontage to London
Street. Mid/late C18. Rendered front with parapet wall and plat
band continued from line of No 2 (q.v.), stone slate roof with
hipped corner, rear roof in slate, shared ridge stack with No 2
with rendered base and brick flue. Single range of 2 storeys.
Front to Market Place much altered with 3-light C20 window over C20
bow window shop front. Facade to London Street on right hand
return largely intact in coursed stone on plinth with plat band
between floors. Five windows, blind to left, rest sashes with one
12-pane with original glazing bars, all with flush stone surrounds
and lintels. Ground floor has plate glass in similar window
surround to left, 2 large C19 plate glass shop windows and former
doorway now a window to far right, last 2 bays to right having
originally been separate premises.
