Former farmhouse, now 2 houses in row. Early-mid C17. Coursed
rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Single-
storey with attic. Front: 2 gables, left forming part of
Virginia Cottage with doorway having 4-panel door and 2-light
chamfered mullioned casement under combined hoodmould; 2-light
with hoodmould in gable above. Two C19 restored 3-light casements
to left; gabled attic roof dormer. Primrose Cottage to right has
gable with doorway and 3-light casement under combined hoodmould;
3-light casement above. Further ground floor 3-light to left;
gabled attic roof dormer above. Ridge-mounted chimneys with plain
caps. West end: rebuilt gable end with attached outbuilding.
Rear: 2 gables. Mixed mullioned and later fenestration. C20
addition to Primrose Cottage. Interiors not inspected.
Originally formed part of Mugmoor Farm.
