SO 9003 CHALFORD AVENIS GREEN

11/4 Stable and outbuilding to east
of Hillside Farmhouse

GV II

Former stable, possibly domestic originally; now outbuilding.
Part C17; altered and rebuilt mid C18. Random rubble limestone;
stone slate roof. Rectangular lofted building. Various additions
at east end are not of special interest. West end: gable end with
line of original gable visible in masonry. Central doorway with
stone lintel and plank door; blocked doorway to left with small
inserted casement, now also blocked. Upper floor 2-light casement
with flat hoodmould. East end: lower attached stable with loft,
doorway with timber lintel and plank door in gable end. Doorway to
each side, south side also with 2-light window opening.
Indications of some blocked openings on north side. Interior not
inspected. Included for Group Value.
