4/9 Yeend monument in the churchyard
of the Church of St Nicholas,
c7m east of south porch

GV II

Chest tomb to John Yeend, died 1667, and John Yeend, died 1713.
Limestone. Inscription within simple reused foliate margins
flanked by raised heraldic shields on south side. Marginal panels
with raised strapwork. Decoration surrounding inscription on north
as on south. Inscription to William Yeend at east end (date
illegible) within sunken round-headed surround. Illegible
inscription within similar segmental-headed surround at opposite
end. Thick capping with moulded margin.
