Silchester House
II
About 1840, late C19, early C20. A 2-storeyed house of Tudor style, with later
additions (of at least 2 periods) of larger and still larger units to the east. Steep
slate roofing; several prominent stacks with decorative terra-cotta flues on
rectangular moulded bases. Stucco walling; some openings have hood-moulds others plain
chamfers. Casements, there are large bays of one and 2 storeys to the later blocks.
Doorways have 4-centred arches.
