SU 44 SE BULLINGTON EAST BULLINGTON

5/9 Nos. 11, and 12.

Long narrow block, being an irregular pair of cottages, of C17 origin but
mainly early C19 exterior: No. 11 faces south and No. 12 north. Brick
and flint, with a thatched roof. 1 storey and attic, irregular fenestration.
1/2 hipped roof, No. 12 with higher ridge and lower eaves, with wide eyebrows
to the dormers on the south (rear) side. Red brickwork, with narrow flint
banding to the 3 sides of No. 11, and larger flint panels to the front (north)
of No. 12, with blue and red brick banding: fragments of exposed timber-
framing in the upper part of No. 12 on the south side. Casements. No. 11
has a C20 gabled and boarded porch on the south side, No. 12 a plain doorway
on the north side.
