Studio now house. 1932 by T Nicholson for Augustus John, converted 1970.
Painted brick and concrete, flat asphalt roof. International modern style,
2 storey, main section oblong, on one end single storey section with canopy
linking studio to garage. Main part has ground floor windows recessed between
piers and one corner supported by pillars. Horizontal strip window of 10
lights on 1st floor of main front. Taller horizontal strip window on end.
At opposite end low part, partly open. Balcony on top. Spiral stair rising
round corner column of balcony, and has tall solid balustrade. Window
wrapped around projecting corner of 1st floor behind 1st floor balcony with
plain metal railing.
