SU 52 NE BEAUWORTH SHOPLEY

5/30 Wayside Cottage

Cottage. C17 and C18. Timber-frame encased in colourwashed brick, roof thatched.
Small 1½ storey, 3 bay building, end on to road, with C18 stone at far end. Door
now in road end. Blocked doorway between road end and centre bay, which had baffle
entry, and 4 2-light casements, 2 in centre bay. 2 eyebrow dormers over centre
and far bay with 2-light casements. Roof half-hipped and small stack above door.
Store on flint plinth, built of oversized Beauworth bricks and thatched.
