SU 42 NE HURSLEY PITT

5/8 Field House

GV II

Cottage. C16. Timber-frame with brick infill and rebuilding, weatherboarded
outshot on one side, roof thatched. 3 bay building end on to road with
jettied road end, 2 storey. Entrance side has C20 hip-roofed brick porch in
centre bay towards rear end with baffle entry and door at other end of same
bay with small 2-light casements in between and 2 early C19 cast-iron casements
above. Similar casements in other bays. Road end jettied with
moulded brackets and lowest panels infilled with flint. Roof half-hipped and
swept-down on other side with 2 ridge stacks at each end of centre bay.
