CHUDLEIGH
SX 88 SE
1/13 Farmbuilding forming the south side
of the courtyard to the south of
Hams Barton

GV II

Farmbuilding. C18 or earlier. Local grey limestone rubble with roof of small
slates, hipped at ends. Single storey building, probably used for storage with a
doorway in the east gable end and 3 windows in the north wall with timber lintels.
This building, opposite the hall range of Hams Barton, forms part of the courtyard to
the south of the house and makes a valuable contribution to the setting of an
important C16 and C17 house.
