3/244 Barn at approx 5 metres east of
- Tucketts

GV II

Barn. Probably C17. Painted stone rubble and cob. Corrugated iron roof with gable
ends, originally thatched. Scantle slate roofed lean-to cider store. Formerly L-
shaped but range to west removed C20. Built end on to slope, parallel to farmhouse.
Surviving floor at lower end. Large opposing winnnowing doorways towards upper end.
Opposing doorways to lower end with old planked door to rear. Door over to front
and old shuttered window to right with door over. Further wide doorway to upper ie.
north gable end. North end narrows where it used to fit wing at slight angle.
Cider store to west middle has large doorway and small casement.
Interior has cobbled floor to lower end and 3 stalls for animals. 2 old beams
insitu and sawn off end of beam of enormous dimensions about midway along barn.
