Whitewashed rendered cob on stone rubble footings ; thatched roof, gabled at ends ;
left end stack to north-facing block ; left end projecting stack to west-facing
block.
Plan: L plan. Probably originating as 2 small cottages. The west-facing block is
circa late C17 and may have been divided between a heated room to the left and a
service room to the right, the north facing block is more difficult to date but may
be an C18 1-room plan cottage which formerly had a newel stair adjacent to the stack
(information from owner).
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window entrance elevation (facing north), with a
plank front door to the right and 2-light C20 timber windows with glazing bars. At
the right end, the stack of the west facing block projects with drip ledges. 2

elevation.
Interior: The west facing block has a rough chamfered crossbeam and an open fireplace
with a chamfered scroll-stopped timber lintel. The second fireplace has a low, plain
timber lintel and may have been rebuilt.
