Inscription reads: To the memory of Stephen Thackwell of the Rye in this parish gent. He died Jany 6 1729 aged 37 years.
Also in memory of Elizabeth wife of ye said Stephen Thackwell Gent, and daughter of John and Ann Cam of the farm in Dymock. She died May ye 10th 1771. Aged 78 years.
