inside are some C17 bricks and the kitchen is C17. Two storeys 3 window. Faced
with buff bricks. Parapet. Tiled roof, windows have glazing bars. Originally
there were 3 round-headed arches on the ground floor but the outer areas are now
hidden by a C20 red brick porch and bay. The centre arch now contains a window.
To the left of this there has been scratched on a brick "RA 1787" (Robert Andrews)
the west half of the house was added about 1910 in red brick with a slate roof.
Two storeys, 2 windows. The old kitchen has some C16 panelling reused from the
earlier house on the site and the door above the staircase has 2 slits for firing
pistols. This was the house of the Andrus family from 1696 until about 1970.
