6/34 Group of four headstones
approximately 10 m south-west
of south porch of Church of
St Giles

Four headstones. Two central headstones, c1740; outer headstones late C16
or early C17. Sandstone. Central pair with scrolled cartouche to convex
inscription panel, one to left with pair of winged cherubs, to right with
central head flanked by elaborate scrolls and edged with egg and dart moulding.
Commemorates, to left William Enoch, died 1740; and to right John Pen.. died
1740, and his wife. Outer pair with central hourglass motif flanked by scroll
inscription panels illegible.
