5/64 Barn about 10 metres west
of Sidcombe Farmhouse

Barn. Early C18. Weatherboarded timber-frame with woven infill, on rubble
plinth, stone slate roof. Six framed bays, threshing floor second bay from
east end, two western bays have taller plinth. Framing: 2 square panels
high, except west end, with woven infill to upper panels; trusses: intermediates
have raking struts, gables have 2 queen struts to collar with V-struts in apex.
Interior: threshing floor flagged; the south door still has its lift.
Cowhouse and cartshed range are attached at south-west corner (qv).
