9/26 Bainbridge Gate and
adjoining barn

II

Farmhouse and barn. Late C17 with alterations dated 1709 on front wall.
Whitewashed rendered walls under graduated greenslate roof, extension under
Welsh slate roof. Rebuilt red sandstone chimney stacks. Barn of mixed
sandstone and limestone rubble walls, under graduated greenslate roof.
2 storeys, 4 bays with left extension and long right barn all under common
roof. C20 door on cross passage between barn and house. Upper floor 4- and
5-light original windows. Ground floor casement windows are all in enlarged
surrounds. Barn has central plank door under wooden lintel. See RCHM,
