House, now divided into three dwellings. C16 origins; remodelled mid-C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Partly timber-framed but completely encased and remodelled in painted brick; plain and machine- tiled roofs. H-plan; central range, aligned north-west/south-east, had large rear brick and sandstone chimney now enclosed by C18 parallel range; north- west cross-wing has two stacks at its north-west side and south-east wing has a central chimney with ridge stack and single-bay south-east wing. Two storeys and attic with dentilled eaves cornice. Main north-east elevation: irregular fenestration; windows are all C20 casements (some in original openings); central part has two 3-light windows on the ground floor (one is large and has a cambered head); on the first floor there is a 2-light and a 3-light window, both with cambered heads, a single-light window and a rectangular light inserted into an opening with a cambered head; cross-wing gable ends have ground and first floor 3-light windows and attic lights, all with cambered heads. South-east wing has a single-light ground floor window. C20 door with transom light to right of central part. Interior: only The Mill House inspected. Large fireplace and a considerable amount of original timber survives at ground floor level (upper floors not inspected but said to also reveal some original framing). C19 and C20 additions to side elevations. The Mill House occupies a prominent position beside Beoley Mill (qv).
