Farmhouse. C17 with mid-C18 and mid-C19 alterations and additions. Timber-
framed with painted brick and rendered infill on sandstone and brick base,
brick replacement walling and refacing; plain tiled roofs. Three framed bays
aligned east/west; large chimney with brick ridge stack between west and
central bays; C18 and C19 addition of L-plan form to rear central and eastern-
most bay with large external chimney to east gable end. Two storeys, partly
with dentilled eaves cornice. Framing: four panels from sill to wall-plate,
short straight braces in upper corners, collar and tie-beam truss with three
struts and V-strut in apex survives at west gable end of original part.
North front elevation: ground floor has a cross-casement and a hipped-roofed
addition beneath which are two bay windows at each end; two 3-light casements
and a 2-light casement on first floor; main entrance,to left of central bay
at centre of bay window addition, has a C20 door; C19 ridge stack at left end.
Interior: large fireplaces retained; central bay of original part has C19
panelling and dog-leg staircase said to have come from Witley Court, Great
Witley, Worcs.
