Public House. c1840. Brick, painted to front, and partly hipped shallow-
pitched slate roof with three ridge stacks, left end stack and also rear
chimney. Two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice. Seven bays (the seventh
bay slightly recessed); windows are 16-pane sashes; three ground floor canted
bay windows and one ground floor window with cambered head; the first floor
has seven windows, the fifth of which is blind; main entrance in fifth bay
has a flat moulded canopy on consoles, a panelled door and a transom light;
also entrance between second and third bays with similar detail but no transom
light; large double doorway with cambered head in first bay and also small
double doorway in seventh bay. Interior not inspected. A probable former
stable or coach house adjoins the left gable end; two levels; single bay;
large double doors and shuttered loft opening in front elevation.
