House, now a shop. C17, renovated in late C19. Timber frame on
low stucco sill, roughcast with panelled fan pargetting. Steep
old red tile roofs. 2-storeys house facing E with 2 storeys
slated wing at NW and small gabled wing at SW. Near-symmetrical
front offset to N with wooden dentilled eaves cornice and 2
windows to each floor with door in middle under large name
plaque. 3-light projecting casement windows with small panes
dentilled cornices and bracketed sills. Window to right of door
of greater projection with single pane at front. Similar
dentilled cornice to door with moulded surround. Side-purlin
roof. Formerly The Globe Inn.
