House. Early C17 2 middle bays, W-bay late C17, floored in C18
and central chimney inserted, E bay floored late C18 and
projecting end chimneys added, single-storey butcher's shop at NW
corner early C19. Timber frame roughcast with steep old red tile
roof. 3 windows to each floor, Yorkshire sliding casements with
small panes to E part, small-paned flush casements elsewhere.
Entrance now into former butcher's shop. Interior has jowled
posts, straight tension bracing, wattle-and-daub infill to
partition, clasped-purlin roof, chamfered axial beam with notched
stops to middle bay, cross-beams and square exposed joists in end
bays, and face-halved bladed scarf joint in wallplate.
