5/19 Little Goddards Cottage adjoining - little Goddards on N

GV II

House. Possibly C17 (and shown on Tithe Map of 1839) altered in C19. A long one and a half storeys weatherboarded building with decorative, red tile hanging below eaves. Steep old red tile roof with 4 gabled dormers on the eaves. Large central chimney one third from S end, top rebuilt in C19 with applied shaped tiles. Rear slope of roof extended down over a verandah. 4 windows with 3-light smallpaned casements. 2-light Yorkshire horizontal sliding windows to dormers. A picturesque historic village house, part of a group with Little Goddards adjoining on S, and other buildings in this part of the Conservation Area. Included for group value.
