Pair of farm cottages. Built as farmhouse C15-16. Cross wings
probably C17. Refronted on N side in late C18 and turned into 2
cottages. Timber frame. S elevation is plastered. Some
weatherboarding. Plain tile roof. Gabled wings each end,
slightly projecting and with steep pitched roofs. Projecting
wing to right of left gable. 2 storeys, except for attic in left
gable. 4 glazing bar casements, mostly C20 replacements. Centre
right section was probably an open hall. Ground floor has been
built forward. Large square C17 red brick chimney stack on
ridge. N elevation is a red brick facade, painted on right side,
with 4 glazing bar casements, those on ground floor segmental
headed. Floor band. Dentilled brick eaves. Original casements
to left ground floor and right 3 1st floor openings. Adjoining
on N is a 4-bay C18 single storey barn.
