Built on a church plan as aisled nave with clerestory and chancel-like
extension. Style similar to that on school near by. High pitched roof
and pent roofs of "aisles" have alternate bands of plain and "fishscale"
tiles. Flint walls with yellow brick cornice, quoins, window dressings
and plinth. 4-shaft, central brick chimney. Irregular fenestration: one-
2- and 3-light casement windows, some with transoms. Door inside small
porch.

St Michael's Church of England School, St Michael's Church and
Jessamine Cottage form a group.
