Barn. C17. Timber frame on red brick sill, part of frame exposed on
front infilled with red brick. Dark weatherboarded generally. Steep
pitched roof now slated. A tall 6-bays barn facing S with gabled porch
to 2nd bay from each end. Jowled posts, unjowled mid-bay posts,
mid-height rail jointed in-line, and tension braces to each bay.
Clasped-purlin roof with 2 purlins to each slope, the upper on high
collars the lower supported on convex-curved heavy inclined queen-posts
thickening to the top. Long curved braces to tie-beams.
