SX 98 NE WOODBURY EBFORD LANE, Ebford

Detached cottage. Late C17. Roughcast cob on stone footings. Thatched roof,
hipped to left-hand end, gabled-end to right. Formerly a 2-cell structure, now
with one room to ground floor, 2 to 1st and with a C20 right-hand end extension.
Internal left-hand end stack with brick shaft. 2 storeys.
Front: 2 window range, 2-light casement windows to 1st floor, one of them C18, both
with lintel at eaves level; 3 C20 casement windows to ground floor, that to the
centre once a door. Left-hand end timber open porch, the doorway with scratch
moulding surround.
Rear with one early C19 casement window to ground floor, C20 casement window above.
Interior: 3 chamfered ceiling beams, 2 with hollow step stops; that to the left-
hand end is chamfered only to the porch side, and must be reused.
Roof: long straight principals; collar pegged; apex carpentry not visible.
