Includes: Boundary walls and piers to Lindley, fronting College Road and Sandford Road SANDFORD ROAD. Walls and piers. c1820. L-plan. Stretch of wall in pinkish-brown brick with ashlar copings (some renewed) approx 1m high and with 3 piers to College Road. Pier to left rebuilt in brick on ashlar plinth with pyramidal cap, otherwise ashlar piers with shaped plinth, shaft with round-arched panels and shaped copings. Wall return to right along Sandford Road for approx 50m with 2 similar piers. Central pier inscribed 'Lindley'. Forms a significant streetscape feature. Lindley was a mid C19 villa, since demolished.
