Wheelwright's Cottage

II

Small house. Circa late C17 or early C18 with C20 alterations. Rendered cob walls.
Thatch roof gabled to right end, hipped to left. Brick stack at right gable-end.
Plan: obscured by C20 alterations but probably 2 or 3 plan originally with larger
heated room at the right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 1-window front, 3 to ground floor. Late C19 4-
pane sash to left of centre on 1st floor. C20 1-light casements on ground floor to
left of centre and to right. C20 former shop window to left. Small C20
Leanto/porch in front of left-hand end with plank doors. C20 thatch roof porch to
right of centre with late C20 part-glazed door.
Interior: inaccessible at time of survey.
